Waiting on Wednesday (1)

I've been seeing this Waiting on Wednesday business for the past few weeks, and I found myself just today wondering what this odd, book blogger Wednesday posting fun was about! So I've recently gone around reading Waiting on Wednesday posts. I love the idea of picking a book you are anticipating, and sharing it with everyone - we are still getting the hang of being Book Bloggers. I must say the picks are fantastic and I'm absolutely waiting on those releases as well.

Over here at Book Junkies, we've decided to start and introduce our blog followers to the books we are waiting on. There are so many coming out, I'm not even sure where to begin!

One book in which I've been eagerly anticipating (Reading Teen's Review made me want to read it even more) is Firelight by Sophie Jordan! This will be my first Dragon plot based novel with the heroine being an actual dragon. Dragons? How cool is that??

With her rare ability to breathe fire, Jacinda is special even among the draki—the descendants of dragons who can shift between human and dragon forms. But when Jacinda’s rebelliousness leads her family to flee into the human world, she struggles to adapt, even as her draki spirit fades. The one thing that revives it is Will, whose family hunts her kind. Jacinda can’t resist getting closer to him, even though she knows she’s risking not only her life but the draki’s most closely guarded secret.

The book will be released September 7th, 2010 and it is the first book in this new YA paranormal series!

  1. Can it be September already? I'm so ready for this one to come out! I haven't read anything with dragons either and I'm intrigued:)

Saw your comment on my blog as well, always excited to "meet" another Downside fan! And of course another boxer fan;)

  2. Firelight sounds super good! I've never read a YA novel about dragons, so I'm really interested in this one.

here's my WoW pick for the week.
