City of Fallen Angels....Yes Please!

It is no secret that we both absolutely LOVE and are totally enraptured with Cassandra Clare's writing, characters, and fantastic world! Most of all, we are totally head over heels in love with Jace Wayland. When we finished reading City of Glass back when it was published, it was a bitter sweet finale to the series. The series ended and we were happy with that ending. Then we sat around pining over the entire series, the characters we loved, and thought...wait a minute! The series is over, which means no more Simon, Clary, or Magnus....no more JACE! Needless to say, it was a heart stopping moment of realization. Then we heard the great news via a Ustream chat with Cassie Clare herself: there was going to be 3 more books in TMI series. So in honour of the upcoming newest release, we wanted to showcase the fabulous trailer on our blog and hope that you are all excited for April 5th, 2011 in the same way we are.

Here is a description of the book, just for good measure:

City of Fallen Angels is the fourth book in the bestselling series The Mortal Instruments.

“City of Fallen Angels takes place two months after the events of City of Glass. In it, a mysterious someone’s killing the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine’s Circle and displaying their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to provoke hostility between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, leaving tensions running high in the city and disrupting Clary’s plan to lead as normal a life as she can — training to be a Shadowhunter, and pursuing her relationship with Jace. As Jace and Clary delve into the issue of the murdered Shadowhunters, they discover a mystery that has deeply personal consequences for them — consequences that may strengthen their relationship, or rip it apart forever. Meanwhile, internecine warfare among vampires is tearing the Downworld community apart, and only Simon — the Daylighter who everyone wants on their side — can decide the outcome; too bad he wants nothing to do with Downworld politics. Love, blood, betrayal and revenge: the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels.”

We would also love to hear your thoughts and comments about WHO you want to play Jace. We use to be huge supporters of Alex Pettyfer. Physically, he fit the part perfectly. With his recent attitude towards not only City of Bones, but as an actor on a whole, he is no longer someone we feel is deserving of the part.
Our new Jace and who would be beyond perfect for the role is:

MAX IRONS

 Look, swoon, comment, enjoy!

When I was first introduced to this amazing series, I wasn't sure what to expect. I certainly didn't expect to find myself reading all three novels in a weekend. I lived and breathed the Mortal Instruments for 48hours and was needless to say, OBSESSED! The pure genius in Clare's language has this way of drawing in even the most skeptical of readers. There is raw emotions, sarcasm, courage, strength, and intelligence in all of her characters. You can find a point of relation with at least one person in the book, investing yourself wholeheartedly to this world of Clare's making. It was no surprise, then, that both Christie and myself LOVED the first novel in the prequel Clockwork Angel. It encompassed everything The Mortal Instruments had, and much more! Being a fanatic of all things British, I was beyond elated with the older London setting. All of this has lead to my enthusiasm and freaking out over the release of City of Fallen Angels on April 5th!

I pose a question to all of you: What is it about Clare's world that draws you in and keeps you craving more?

Watch out this week for a hopeful book trailer release and be prepared to start counting down the days to the novels release!

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
