Our First BookJunkie Giveaway

We have been absolutely thrilled and amazed with how generous, kind, and giving the book community has been. It's a wonderful feeling to know that you share the same likes and passions about all types of literature with people you don't even know. For the short period of time that we've had this blog and our Twitter, we have been astounded with how many giveaways people have had. People are reaching out to others by sharing their favourite books and authors with the world.

In honour of this online book community and our love for reading we have decided to have our first giveaway. We apologize that we do not have anything currently signed or any ARCS to giveaway, but we would still like a chance to share books that we love.

Once we hit 50 blog followers, we will be giving away two place prizes.

First Place: Any book of the winner's choosing from the Book Depository. Total worth $30. That means you can either get one $30 book or up to 3 of your choosing.
*NEW* This has just been added to our contest. We have amazing followers on our Twitter and we hope to bring some of that love to our blog.

Second Place: The two books we've decided to giveaway  are The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting, which Christie has read and loved. Her review is up on this blog already.

The Body Finder

Violet Ambrose is grappling with two major issues: Jay Heaton and her morbid secret ability. While the sixteen-year-old is confused by her new feelings for her best friend since childhood, she is more disturbed by her "power" to sense dead bodies-or at least those that have been murdered. Since she was a little girl, she has felt the echoes the dead leave behind in the world . . . and the imprints that attach to their killers.

Violet has never considered her strange talent to be a gift; it mostly just led her to find dead birds her cat left for her. But now that a serial killer is terrorizing her small town, and the echoes of the local girls he's claimed haunt her daily, Violet realizes she might be the only person who can stop him.

Despite his fierce protectiveness over her, Jay reluctantly agrees to help Violet find the murderer-and Violet is unnerved by her hope that Jay's intentions are much more than friendly. But even as she's falling intensely in love, Violet is getting closer and closer to discovering a killer . . . and becoming his prey herself.

The second book in which we want to share is the paperback edition of City of Glass. We both LOVED the Mortal Instruments series and in honour of the upcoming release of Clockwork Angel, our lucky winner will receive the edition which includes excerpts from Clockwork Angel and City of Fallen Angels. Pretty great right? We hope you think so.

This giveaway will be simple. Once we reach our 50 follower goal, we will tweet that the giveaway will begin. So if you aren't following our twitter account you should, @bookjunkies. Then all you have to do is comment on the blog post that will accompany our 50 follower announcement. Just leave us a comment with your country and e-mail address.

First Place will be open International. If the Book Depository ships there, you can enter once we reach 50+ followers. The second place giveaway will be open to USA and Canada only.
