It is no secret that we both absolutely LOVE and are totally enraptured with Cassandra Clare's writing, characters, and fantastic world! Most of all, we are totally head over heels in love with Jace Wayland. When we finished reading City of Glass back when it was published, it was a bitter sweet finale to the series. The series ended and we were happy with that ending. Then we sat around pining over the entire series, the characters we loved, and thought...wait a minute! The series is over, which means no more Simon, Clary, or Magnus....no more JACE! Needless to say, it was a heart stopping moment of realization. Then we heard the great news via a Ustream chat with Cassie Clare herself: there was going to be 3 more books in TMI series. So in honour of the upcoming newest release, we wanted to showcase the fabulous trailer on our blog and hope that you are all excited for April 5th, 2011 in the same way we are.
Credit for the trailer goes to Vania from VLC Productions :-)

Here is a description of the book, just for good measure:
City of Fallen Angels is the fourth book in the bestselling series The Mortal Instruments.
“City of Fallen Angels takes place two months after the events of City of Glass. In it, a mysterious someone’s killing the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine’s Circle and displaying their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to provoke hostility between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, leaving tensions running high in the city and disrupting Clary’s plan to lead as normal a life as she can — training to be a Shadowhunter, and pursuing her relationship with Jace. As Jace and Clary delve into the issue of the murdered Shadowhunters, they discover a mystery that has deeply personal consequences for them — consequences that may strengthen their relationship, or rip it apart forever. Meanwhile, internecine warfare among vampires is tearing the Downworld community apart, and only Simon — the Daylighter who everyone wants on their side — can decide the outcome; too bad he wants nothing to do with Downworld politics. Love, blood, betrayal and revenge: the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels.”

We would also love to hear your thoughts and comments about WHO you want to play Jace. We use to be huge supporters of Alex Pettyfer. Physically, he fit the part perfectly. With his recent attitude towards not only City of Bones, but as an actor on a whole, he is no longer someone we feel is deserving of the part.
Our new Jace and who would be beyond perfect for the role is:
MAX IRONS
Look, swoon, comment, enjoy!
I don't get the Max Irons thing, he's a good actor but he has the wrong look (for me). He looks perpetually sleepy/constipated/confused.
ReplyDeleteI do agree, Alex is a NO. Also on my NO list is Hunter Parish, boy looks nine. Just saying.
Physically what about Jeremy Sumpter? Unsure of acting as he's not been in much lately...
One thing I wish people would get is while the characters are supposed to be 16, like in the Seam is tough and they have aged harder then most so they are not supposed to be baby faced, clean cut and such. I think they would do best to cast an unknown personally.
PS love the blog - <---new follower!
*life in the Sean (sorry stupid fingers...typed that wrong..lol)
ReplyDeleteI'm all for Max Irons. He seems sweet. I to am totally excited for CoFA. However I will not be able to read it till the middle of the month as I have finals to worry about. *Sigh*
ReplyDeleteI am soooo excited about CoFA that I could die! And I am also now Team Max Irons. Alex REALLY was who I pictured as Jace even while reading, but if he is going to put some bad vibes into the movie I really would rather it be someone else. Max Irons seems like he would be very capable.
ReplyDeleteCannot wait for City of Fallen Angels to come out either. As for Irons, I am OK with it but would like to see some other chances before I make up my mind. Alex though is out!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about continuing this series... I only got to the first one, but maybe I'll wait until the whole series is over? Seems like this series is endless though!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great comments!
ReplyDeleteCialina - The series will have 6 books in total and then there is another series that is kind of a preface to The Mortal Instruments. You can wait but it's kind of fun anticipating the new books as they arrive :)
