Friday's Fictional Fellas is a new weekly post where we, A and C, argue about which handsome fictional guy is best. We pick a book, pick a fella, and have a little debate. This week we are doing something a little different because we AGREED on a Fictional Fella....
.......................................................................'
Book: City of Bones     Author: Cassandra Clare   Fellas: Jace and Simon

When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder-much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing-not even a smear of blood-to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know.

Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare's ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.

A & C "We're Team...Jace!"

To be honest, we didn't even know there was another team. Jace is, and will always be, the only choice in our minds.

There are so many reasons to swoon over Jace. He's so sexy and utterly delicious that you will find it difficult not to drool all over the pages of Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series. We both don't usually find blonde guys that appealing, but for Jace we would make an exception. In the words of my sister, "BTW. I want to have sexual relations with Jace." Sounds about right.

Apart from Jace's good looks though he is so incredibly cocky and is full of the most incredible sarcastic remarks. It is difficult to keep from laughing when you can hear his snide remarks echo inside your own head. We assume that Jace has a sexy voice that could be compared to that of Mr. Ian Somerhalder. We can hear every little word he utters and how it drips with sarcasm...Only in voice of course. We reserve all looks of Jace to come from the Alex Pettyfer.

Jace is definitely one of our ultimate male characters from a YA book and we couldn't be happier that we get to continue our love for him in 3 new books.

Now we don't want to leave Simon out. We love our little Simon. He just isn't for us we're afraid. We would love to have him as our best friend, and are sure that he will have his hands full with the ladies in the next three installments!

But alas we are Team Jace...

QUOTES

"I'm out of commission. Look, jammies."

"It wouldn't be my move," Jace agreed. "First the candy and flowers, then the apology letters, then the ravenous demon hordes. In that order."

"Declarations of love amuse me. Especially when unrequited."

"The meek may inherit the earth, but at the moment it belongs to the conceited. Like me."

"Do you remember back at the hotel when you promised that if we lived, you’d get dressed up in a nurse’s outfit and give me a sponge bath?"

"In future, Clarissa," he said, "it might be wise to mention that you already have a man in your bed, to avoid such tedious situations."
"You invited him into bed?" Simon demanded, looking shaken.
"Ridiculous, isn't it?" said Jace. "We would never have all fit."
"I didn't invite him into bed," Clary snapped. "We were just kissing."
"Just kissing?" Jace's tone mocked her with its false hurt. "How swiftly you dismiss our love."

  1. Yes, there was never really any competition for Jace in these books. Never one that Clary was interested in anyway.
And who doesn't like Alex P. for Jace? haha
